Telephone calls to your doctor.

If you phone the Clinic requesting to speak to your doctor, you will be asked to leave a number on which you can be contacted. Most doctors aim to return phone calls within 24 hours. If the matter is urgent, either your doctor, another doctor or the practice nurse may be able to take your call immediately.

Should you feel seriously unwell, be suffering chest pain, severe shortness of breath or suspect that you or your family member has had a stroke or heart attack, you should call an ambulance on 000 immediately. Minutes could save your life.

In many instances, the doctor or nurse will be unable to provide advice over the telephone. Laurimar Medical is very conscious of the risk of providing incorrect advice by telephone. If unwell, patients should attend the clinic in person.

Hours.

Mon-Fri - 8:00am to 7:00pm
Sat-Sun - 9:00am to 2:00pm

Sometimes demand for this service will exceed our ability to respond and you may be asked whether you would like a locum visit arranged. Results.

Please make an appointment for 1 week after you have any tests or investigations done. In the interests of best practice, results of investigations will not be given to you over the telephone by nursing or reception staff. It is your responsibility to arrange this follow up appointment.
